Game Freak Action RPG
Beast of Reincarnation
Beast of Reincarnation is Game Freak's one-person, one-dog action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic Japan in the year 4026. Emma and her blighted companion Koo explore a world that changes in real time, parry their way through hostile golems and corrupted creatures, and face the Nushi, powerful malefact bosses that spread the blight.
What Is Beast of Reincarnation?
Beast of Reincarnation blends real-time action with turn-based commands. Emma fights with sword-based actions in real time, while Koo uses skills through a command menu that opens with the Triangle button and slows time. Parrying enemy attacks earns points that activate Koo's skills, so the two characters work as one fighting unit.
The story starts inside a Colony, one of the few habitable areas in a devastated world. Emma, born corrupted by blight and fused with plants, hunts malefacts as a Sealer and absorbs their blight into her own body. When she meets Koo, a malefact that threatens this world, their story begins.
The environment shifts as blight spreads: plains and wastelands gradually transform into forests, and in some areas the transformation is abrupt, giving rise to unseen malefacts.

Why This Game Is Worth a Guide
Beast of Reincarnation launched only days before this guide was created. Because the game is new, media guides are still being updated: Rock Paper Shotgun's boss guide, for example, covers Chapters 1-3 in detail and notes that later zones will be added shortly. That window is exactly when players search for boss lists, weapon recommendations, strongbox codes, and build advice.
All facts on this site come from the sources listed on the Sources page, each opened and checked on August 6, 2026.
