Beast of Reincarnation Tips
Practical tips collected from Eurogamer's walkthrough and IGN's beginner pages, accessed August 6, 2026. These are the habits that make the first few hours smoother: eat, camp, parry, upgrade, and talk to everyone aboard the Cleanse Walker.
Combat Tips
- Make parrying your default counter. The timing window is generous, and FP from parries fuels Koo's Bloom Arts, which are vital against tough threats.
- Learn attack rhythms. Many enemy attacks have a beat; once you feel it, parries become consistent.
- You cannot use the same Bloom Art twice in a row, so start fights with the art the enemy is weak to.
- Check the weakness symbol beside enemy health bars and swap equipment and skills to match.
- If you cannot counter a boss's weakness, fire is a safe general option.
- Attacks that glow red cannot be blocked; dodge them instead.
Exploration Tips
- Seek out Keeper Golems in each zone: each reveals a single objective or important resource, such as Elite enemies, weapons, or manuals.
- Pay attention when Koo spots nearby enemies, strongboxes, and items; he prevents ambushes and speeds up collecting.
- Collect orange butterflies: each one gives a small amount of Amber, and they are often in high places.
- Rest at campsites to unlock fast travel and to identify unknown Spirit Stones and Charms.
- Check merchant stock regularly; merchants share stock after discovery, so a weapon unlocked by one merchant can be bought later from Brad.
Survival and the Cleanse Walker
- Watch hunger for both Emma and Koo. Eating restores HP out of combat, which saves Stimpacks and Bloom Arts.
- Cook at campsites when possible; Malefact Meat is cooked automatically when resting and fills both hunger meters.
- Return to the Cleanse Walker regularly: new conversations open, some with rewards like attribute points or Amber.
- Upgrade the Incubator and Grow Chamber early; both support food production for Kagura's stat-boosting meals.
- Eat a new dish when possible for the First Time Bonus, a permanent stat increase.
- Increase rapport with Koo and Kagura: Koo unlocks more skill slots, and Kagura's cooking improves.
- Upgrade the Walker's Power, Calculations, and Knowledge with Generator Devices, Electronic Brains, and Memory Chips.
Economy Tips
- Amber is the main currency: collect it from enemies, chests, orange coral-like objects, and butterflies.
- Spend Amber often on weapon upgrades; a green exclamation point appears at camp when you can afford one.
- Facility Modules add slots to Walker functions; Generator Devices, Electronic Brains, and Memory Chips are collectibles that enhance specific systems.
- Sell surplus Spirit Stones and Ancient Books to merchants for useful purchases.
